Why running rocks

I received this email from Comrades today. Thought it was awesome and totally what Will Run for Travel is all about. I couldn't have said it better myself.

Former marathon and track runner Jesse Owens once said: "I always loved running. It is something you could do by yourself, and under your own power. You could go in any direction, fast or slow as you wanted, fighting the wind if you felt like it, seeking out new sights just on the strength of your feet and the courage of your lungs".

On that note, we at the Comrades Marathon Association would like to add that running has no limits or boundaries. Running is one's natural ability to masterfully control one's body across any finish line. When you are out there, on the track or on the tarmac, you are in complete and utter control - the way nature intended! The 86th Comrades Marathon is fast approaching and we urge everyone who has yet to submit their club and qualifying details to do so before 6th May 2011. We also encourage runners to support the Race 4 Charity initiative and make this year's run even more memorable.
